Tagalog Spoken Poetry About Nationalism, Heroism and Rizal
Hopefully, you’ll like this poem and may this be useful to others too. I am sharing this to provide an example to pupils or students, but please do not copy this for profit.
This was made for free to help a student who is my friend's sibling.
I was curious how this poem looks when translated in English so I used Google Translator and copied the English version which I pasted after the Tagalog version. Most translated parts’ meaning is right excluding some parts like this one, “Naging malaya ang bansang aking sinilangan kalaunan.” which I translate this way, “The country I was born in became free later on.” and this is the translation by Google, “The country I gave birth to later became independent.”
Reminder: Writing a poem is actually easy. All you have to do is to write what you are thinking until you run out of words. Then do some research about the poem you are writing. Explore the world with or without going out from where you are. Ideas will surely pop out as you are exploring. Never fail to write them because you might forget what you were thinking and waste the time used during that search. Let that creative side of you come out. Don’t hold back and express what you want to be heard.

Title: Noli Me Tangere (Touch Me Not)
Touch me not, yan ang ingles ng Noli Me Tangere.

While I was roaming at around 5 AM in November 2018, I saw the peculiar letter, so I took a photo of the Rizal monument. |

Title: Noli Me Tangere (Touch Me Not)Touch me not, that's the English of Noli Me Tangere
The first novel was written by Dr. Jose Rizal with the help of Vicente
The novel deals with the authority of the Catholic Church beyond the mayors.
The novel brought to his attention the accusation that he was a spy, agent, or Protestant.
Dr. Jose Rizal is peacefully to achieve reform.
Despite criticism of Noli, he continues the novel.
El Filibusterism or The Reign of Greed is next published.
He dedicated the novel to three martyrs Gomez, Burgoz, and Zamora.
The novels are said to be the catalyst for the earnest desire to achieve true freedom.
The novels also led to his death sparking a revolution.
The country I gave birth to later became independent.
It was called the Philippines in honor of the king of foreign invaders.
If our desire is freedom, why do we agree that our country comes from the name of the king of Spain?
Why is English our preferred language?
Dr. Jose Rizal, "The one who does not love his language is more like a stinking fish."
It is sad to think that most of us prefer to be foreigners in our own country.
What should we do as modern youth?
We are attacked by the actions that others think of in the past.
I am confused as to why our generation is a sinner.
Who was the first to forget the sacrifice of our people's heroes?
