Underrated Use of Coconut Oil: Biofuel?

A fire made from coconut shell with copra captured indoor for experimentation.
A raw image of the fire I made from copra on a shell.

When I started producing copra, its price was too low that I cannot profit from it. I did brainstorming to find more uses of copra that lead me to the idea of making gas from it. Prices of gases especially those used in cooking are very expensive in my point of view. Woods and charcoals are not expensive but it takes energy and time to maintain a big fire (big enough to cook many foods in one go) from them. Using firewoods can endanger the forests too.
We have many coconuts at our yard and it will be a waste if I won't make anything out from coconuts. So I did experiments that lead me to discover the big fire from copra on a shell.

I got tired of blowing the coconut husk to burn the copra on the shell to make a fire. I was hopeless but I persisted. Then a thought said, "Why not light up a match and throw it on the copra?" That's what I did and the outcome was positive. The blue and orange fire started to crawl around the copra on a shell. After a while, I started to worry because I did my experiment in my room. I was afraid I may burn our house which is made of wood. The fire from the copra on a shell grew bigger and wilder. It became so hot in the middle of heavy rain. I cannot even feel the cold breeze of air that I breathe-in every time it gets into my room before I nailed that experiment. Fortunately, I have another copra on a shell that I used to cover the fire. It was also an opportunity to do another experiment. This time, I controlled the fire. It was tough to put out the fire from the first experiment without water. I cannot use water in putting out the fire because my experiment will be ruined. What I did was I broke the shell into small pieces and I picked each piece using thongs to give a hard blow of air from my mouth. It was very hot that my whole face started to ache. The feeling was like having a sunburn. I struggled so much from that experiment but the result is giving me progress. This is the end of my first trial dated April 10, 2019 (approx. start time: 7:00pm end: 9:39pm)

This was a crazy experiment and I will not be doing this again.

It has been proven that coconut oil can be a biofuel (here) years ago. I just found out about it because the term I used in searching when I decided to do that experiment was wrong.
