Coronavirus ( COVID-19 ) Negative
This is my COVID-19 story.
I am writing this with an intention to share helpful information based on my experience.
This is not in my plan because I already said farewell in my last blog post, but I chose to write and post this to help in some ways especially to those who are fearing coronavirus.
Let me begin this story on the day I arrived in the municipality of Loreto, Agusan del Sur.
It was on September 3, 2019 at around 7:00 pm when I arrived at the quarantine facility. I was from Butuan City. I was quarantined for 14 days.
I am very glad I found the healing effects of garlic tea because all my blood tests called rapid tests came out negative. I would have been in the isolation area if it came out positive, but it was not the end of my coronavirus story.
After a week ( or two ), when I came out from the quarantine facility, COVID-19 case was reported, and my father and sister had the symptoms. The people who are coronavirus positive came in the office before they found out they have the virus which was a week after.
We thought my father and sister's runny nose was because of their sinusitis/rhinitis. We shared the same foods, dipped foods in the same saucer of sauce, used one serving spoon, and did what usual family does.
It was my father who has most ( or all ) of the COVID-19 symptoms like fever, mild runny nose, diarrhea, fatigue, shivers, and dry cough. Thankfully, most of the symptoms disappeared after 3 or 4 days. It was the dry cough, and mild runny nose that remained as of this writing.
Mild runny nose is the only symptom my sister is experiencing. She has it on and off for more than a week.
I recommend garlic tea to them, but my sister was probably traumatized by the burning effect of the tea to her. My father on the other hand hates garlic because as he said, it causes an odorous breath. So they opted for ginger tea.
I tried ginger tea before garlic, but unfortunately, it's not effective for me. I continued my garlic tea experiments to see how far garlic can heal me.
On October 9, 2020, 7:39 pm, my sister called me, and said we need to go to the Rural Health Unit ( RHU ) to be tested for COVID-19 because her rapid swab test (nasopharyngeal swab) result came out positive. It was a shocking and sad moment, but we did not panic. We kept calm, and did what we were told.
On October 10, 2020, 10:43 am, me and my father took the nasopharyngeal swab test (or rapid antigen test) with 70% accuracy according to the doctor. At around 2:00 pm, the result came. My father was positive, and I was negative.
Only the three of us are living in the house so the doctor in-charge gave my father a choice, and that is if they want to stay in the house without going out or be at the quarantine facility. My father chose to stay at the quarantine facility for my sake. He said they will be selfish if they'll stay in the house, and might infect me with the virus.
They packed their things, and at around 4:00 pm, they went to the quarantine facility. I cleaned, and sprayed disinfectant all around the house and even at our front and backyard where we often bond as what my father instructed.
Earlier, (the night and early morning ) before I was tested, I did a new experiment. I mixed a tablespoon full (or more) and crushed garlic in hot water and let it warm/cool naturally. Then I put the liquid in an empty bottle of alcohol, and let a few drops enter my nose. It was very painful that tears dropped immediately. I don't know where the liquid went because nothing came out from my throat or nose. I felt like it went in my head and neck because I felt sensations like little pain at those parts. A few minutes (or seconds) later, mucus started building up and coming out of my nose. I blew them off, and cleaned my nose thoroughly. After that, I felt relief, and the swab came in my nose easily. Many women, and even a man shed tears after the swab, but I didn't even if it was also my first time.
By the way, I did not develop any coronavirus symptoms (alike) after I was healed because of my garlic tea experiment which was more than a year ago.
Continuation
It's my birthday today ( October 18 ). I woke up early without energy, but I remain optimistic because of my friends and family.
I am alone in our house because they are still in the quarantine facility. At 1:12 pm, my sister texted saying my father is confirmed positive with “severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2)” commonly known as COVID-19.
The news was not shocking/surprising nor saddening because we've expected that, and we'll fight against it with a positive mindset. Negative thoughts can lead to worries that may lead to stress which may cause more harm according to many health experts. We did not overreact even if my father became sick again after he recovered from the coronavirus symptoms.
What I did after reading her text was I prepared the durian I put in the fridge ( that my father likes ) and the creamy/cheesy gulaman ( jelly ) I made, and brought them at the quarantine facility. Nobody's allowed to enter the facility except the authorized personnel who don't usually stay at the facility so I just left the goods on the table. I want to talk to them in-person, but it's prohibited.
We are not used to this kind of situation, but we are trying our best not to feel the sadness. We accepted the challenge God is giving us, and we believe in his plans for us.
Everything has a reason as they said.
Life goes on no matter what happens.
My father is ADSCOV#220
He doesn't wear his facemask properly. Even if he talks to people, he covers his mouth but not his nose most of the time.
