New Journey: Share The Meal - My Long Time Dream
Hopefully, my current endeavors can lead me to the right path, and maybe one day I can help in uplifting my countrymen specifically the children who lost their way because of poverty. Many children have great potentials. I saw it when I was involved in an outreach program and when I started observing those kids on the streets.
I pray one day, all of those kids can be properly fed not just with food, but also with the knowledge to become good citizens of any nation and be an asset to the world."
The paragraphs above are my stand ever since I was a child. Those were written in my previous blog posts published in 2019 or 2020. I pasted them here to serve as a reminder that I once dreamed of making a change in this world by helping others, and now, I am slowly realizing that dream.
Ever since I was young, I've been wanting to help the poor. I am not rich, but I know that many people do not have the capabilities to be nourished nor even provide food for their families.
I chose to be single because I know how hard it is to be hungry all day. My knowledge about the effects of poverty on many children leads me to choose to stay single and focus my attention on the people I love and care about.
Life in this world will never be easy without money. I have computed my salary and budgeted it. I found out that it is not enough especially if I will avail of the insurances and investments provided by the public/private sectors. It will take more than 5 years to reach my savings goal if I will not find a way to increase my cash inflow.
To make my dream a reality, I need to find other sources of income to sustain the journey I am currently embarking on. Giving to the disadvantaged people and knowing that the amount I have shared even how small it was has impacted families living below the poverty threshold is fulfilling for me.
Sadaqah is the term for that act in Islam. I want to help in saving the Earth by donating some amount for the growth (physical/mental/financial/spiritual) of the target beneficiaries.
We can all make an impact on the lives of others, and save the earth.
