Development Hampered by the Pandemic Called Covid-19

We tried our best, but there are things that we cannot control.

We want progress for the benefit of all, but many want to be in control.

"Good leadership is vital but many want to lead and control.

Despite it all, we will strive to achieve our goals."

It's more than a month since I started working as a Development Management Officer I. Every day is a hectic day.

We plan, research, study, replan and think of more plans to achieve sustainable economic development.

As one of the contributors to the business plans for the economic enterprises (to be established), I am pressured right now. Our revenue projections for the 1st year of operations might not be realized because of the restrictions caused by COVID-19 or the so-called Coronavirus.

There is a way to solve that matter. The idea is to create and implement a policy that will regulate the entry of non-residents through a card/ticket. Those who want to visit our place must have a reservation so that they will be given a ticket/card with a code that can be scanned and contains relevant information about the non-resident client/s.

The policies we currently have are too weak to cause an impact.

We need experts' help. We need innovation and technology to succeed.

To realize our plans, I volunteered in creating a proposal to build an Innovation and Technology Hub.

This is where the constituents of the Municipality with technological capabilities and willingness to learn can gather to create things that can be traded or enhance the economic status of Loreto, Agusan del Sur.

I hope somebody will reach out to help us achieve the goals that will benefit us all.

I haven't shared this idea with anyone (only in this blog) because I am not confident in sharing my ideas.

This blog has become my messenger that relays my ideas/thoughts to the individuals searching for answers.

May you be the answer to my prayer.

God bless.
