Fitting and Comfy Vs. Trendy Clothes

A teenager once asked her father for some money to buy new and trendy clothes.
Her father did not hesitate to give for all he wanted was to see his daughter happy. Then a few days later, the girl did not come out of her room. She was crying heavily yet silently. Nobody knew about her feelings until her mother called for breakfast. She doesn’t want to answer and go out because she knows it will be very obvious that she cried for the whole night. She’s also afraid to be blamed for the problem she has. Minutes later, her mother called again and now she was in front of her room’s door, and then knocked. She was very anxious to open it but she has to if she doesn’t want her mother to be angry and nag the whole day. First, she wiped her tears; put some makeup on to hide her tired eyes, and opened the door with a smile on her face. She asked her mother what’s the menu of the day and just chatted with her joyfully to hide the pain she was feeling till they reached the dining table. Suddenly, her father asked about the money he gave to her. She answered with teary eyes, “I bought the trendy pair of clothes because I thought that people would look up to me with that dress, but I was wrong. I thought people would like me and befriend me because I am wearing trendy clothes, but nothing really happened. It was just like an ordinary day.” Then her father looked her in the eyes and said,
“To stand out in the crowd, you don’t really need to have trendy clothes. All you need are fitting and comfy clothes.”
"Now I am in my 20s, and I just realized the most important advice in fashion my father gave.
It's not really about what's trendy. It is all about what is fitting and comfy because when these two exist, confidence just comes out unconsciously.
Fashion, as they say, is all about confidence. That makes a person stand out."
That's the lesson she learned.
