Taking a Pause
After creating the review on IU’s biography, I realized something. I think I need to take a pause in writing my stories to realize one of my dreams.
I said a farewell before because I decided to focus on vlogging. Creating and editing videos is fun for me, but sometimes it makes me mad. I don’t want to feel that way, so I decided not to do it on a regular basis. I continued blogging.
Now that I have reached 2, 000 plus pageviews and the number of users of this blog increased, I want that the stories I share will truly help the readers and must be in great quality and quantity. I looked at the performance of this blog through Google Analytics and found out that most of you (those who visited this blog) stayed for only a few seconds (many did not even reach a second).
That statistics implies improvement although no one checked the reaction “Improve” (found at the bottom of each blog post). I want my blog posts to be useful and relevant to the information seekers.
Taking a pause to think of strategies to solve the puzzles I am facing is my only choice (for now). I am not sure when I will be back (posting new articles), but I hope on my return, my account won’t be hacked.
The total blog posts I have input here is 71, but only 50 (so far) I chose to publish because some are not done yet and the others did not pass my standard. I am the one who wrote all the blog posts and created the photos in all those posts, but I am not a biased creator. I criticize my own works when others refuse to give criticisms.
It is difficult to improve without constructive criticism from others, but I’ll do my best to find the answers and do the “right strategies to be effective”. That might be the title of my next blog post if I succeed.
Usually, I post only one article every week, but because the review I created about IU’s biography has 493 words only, I decided to post this on the same day with it. As I told in my previous blog post, "my aim is to write articles with not less than 1,000 words".
Having a lot of words in a content can discourage readers to finish (or even start) reading. I have been aware of that since I was in high school because I am that kind of reader. But the very first and only thick novel I finished (willingly) in one sitting when I was in my junior high encourages me to write something that will really push the reader to read until the end of the story. This novel does not belong in the romantic genre because love stories are not what I want to read or watch (unless there's comedy in most parts of the movie).
Writing love stories is not my thing. You may say I’m boring, but I’m not really that boring. I just cannot finish writing a love story, but I can write a romantic poem. I have written poems related to love, but the ending is always sad. I do not want the readers of my posts to be (or feel) sad.
The main reason I write is to share stories (based on facts) that can help me (and others) feel and do better.
My greatest prayer is to have a great world. A world where no person anywhere is hungry and everyone is helping one another to achieve sustainable development (for all).
